Peking duck was on point: crispy skin with no visible chunks on fat stuck on.

Unfortunately the duck was the only star.  We had ordered the Yang Chow fried rice ( tasted and looked like the fried rice you get at food courts), mapo tofu (again, tasted like the ones from food courts), beef on sizzling plate ( this dish was not bad).

Would come back here again for the duck, but will definitely not get the fried rice and the tofu dish again.  We ordered the duck 2-way, and the stir fried duck wrapped in lettuce was delicious as well.

P.s. fill up each of your pancake wrap with a crapload of the duck slices, otherwise when you run out, it's 75 cents each.  That's not a typo, it's 3 quarters for a thin slice of dough.

This restaurant used to be located at the back of Pacific mall. After the construction project started, it moved to the current Thornhill location.

Back in the years, the roast duck and fried dishes were still good except for the cut was too thick. After it moved to the current location closer to me, I tried the roast duck once again. It was terrible. The duck was cut into huge pieces which could hardly be bent into a wrap and there was no meat but only skin! I will stop revisiting this place in the future.

New owner and new location. This used to be located in market village where we often visit for peking duck.

The stir fry thin noodle and fired oyster patty are really good and reminds me of how they are back home in the Philippines. Crispy pork with sweet sauce was a hit among the kids, crunchy fried meat covered with golden sweet and sour sauce. Sweet and sour fish is also good but it was served very small for the of price of $38. It was done crispy and covered with pineapple sweet sauce. I was disappointed on how small the peking duck portion served and it was done very dry on our first order. We ordered the second one and this time it was better. I would say not as good as I remember .

Place was understaffes so it was hard to call for service. At the end the owner made up and gave us free dessert. Red bean pancake was really good.

I would visit again this place if I have big cravings for noodles and oyster cake. Other than that, it will take me a while to come back.

Food is not so good. The Peking is very dry. The spicy cuttle fish is extremely spicy and salty. The fake crab with egg white is very plain in taste. One thing that's very annoying is that they put a plastic spoon in the vinegar bowl, is common sense you don't put plastic in vinegar. Lastly is that the server leave the dirty dishes keep piling up on our table. I seldom give one star but this place definitely is not a recommendation from me.

I loved going to the Chung King Garden location at Pacific Mall; they always had the best peiking duck in all of Toronto. So I was sad to read that it had closed but glad to find out they had this location. Once I arrived, I could tell it was larger and more lively than the other location, although it did seem to draw a more diverse crowd. The service was not very attentive, but they did seem understaffed.

Getting into the dishes - the Sichuan beef is one of my favorite dishes. It's difficult to find a restaurant that does it right, so I highly recommend getting it here.

The peiking duck was the main star that I came for though, and I have to admit, I was underwhelmed. We ordered it two ways - with both the regular soft wrap style and the lettuce wrap style. While the flour wraps were perfectly thin and soft, and the sauce was good and not too salty, the duck was very dry and over-cooked. There wasn't much meat on the slices to put in the flour wraps. Also, the duck meat mix for the lettuce wraps didn't contain as many crunchy noodles. The lettuce wraps were very wrinkly and weren't circular, making it difficult to wrap without breaking.

Overall, I'd like to give this place another shot based on my experiences from the Pacific Mall location, but the quality needs to be much better than this experience.
